Come join us for a fun run or walk on August 31st! The 5K Fun Run starts at the Country Dairy Farm Store in New Era, then across the M20 to the pastures of the adjacent Charolais Farm. Runners and walkers will be able to enjoy the fresh fall air while seeing the surrounding area from a vantage point that is not accessible to the general public.
Registration is at 8 am day of race and the race itself starts at 9. Entry fee is $20 until August 20th and includes a t-shirt. Starting August 21st entry fee is $25/person and t-shirt is on a first come first serve basis. Special pricing available for school teams, email us for details.
The proceeds are for the benefit of the Gulu Country Dairy Project and the Mission Scholarship Fund.
Last year’s proceeds from the Cow Run paid the tuition for a student at the Gulu Country Dairy Training Facility. This training facility is adjacent to the Gulu Country Dairy Farm, where modern business practices are taught in several agri-business areas. Tuition is approximately $1500 per student. The farm also provides opportunities for internship, where students can gain additional hands-on experience. See www.gulucountrydairy.com for more information.
